We organize our schedule by distance from our shop on Minnehaha Avenue in South Minneapolis. The closer you are, the faster we can typically get to you — but every zone below is still same-week.
2–4 day response
Our fastest zone. Most jobs in the two cities are booked within 48–96 hours, and emergency calls (running water, no heat) are often same-day if you call before noon.
3–5 day response
Edina, Richfield, St. Louis Park, Roseville, and the immediate suburbs on both sides of the river. Standard scheduling window, no trip fee.
4–7 day response
The outer metro — Maple Grove, Woodbury, Eden Prairie, and similar. Still same-week, still no trip fee. Larger projects get priority slotting.

Because snow-melting installs are multi-day projects, we travel up to 150 miles for them — Duluth, Rochester, St. Cloud, and Eau Claire are all in range. Travel costs are quoted as part of the project. Call us and we’ll walk you through it.

Scheduling windows assume normal demand. The first two weeks of October and the week after Thanksgiving are typically our busiest — book ahead if you need a specific date.
Eleven years in the metro teaches you a few things. Here’s what we see most often, by area.
Mostly 1900–1950 housing stock. Expect plaster walls behind drywall, knob-and-tube in the attic, and door frames that have shifted a dozen times. We bring the right anchors and know when to hand off to a licensed electrician.
Post-war ramblers and split-levels. Aluminum wiring shows up in a few 1965–1975 pockets — we flag it every time. Plumbing is often original copper, still serviceable, just due for new angle stops and supply lines.
Newer construction means fewer plaster and wiring surprises, but builder-grade fixtures and trim that’s overdue for upgrades. Heated driveways are especially popular here on newer concrete pours.
River towns like Hudson and River Falls often mix older housing with newer builds. Softer water means more mineral buildup in faucets and shower heads — cartridge replacements are common. Same pricing as the metro.
Not inside our standard service area — which covers Minneapolis, St. Paul, and most of the Twin Cities metro. If your address is just outside the map, we quote a flat travel add-on before you book. No hidden mileage charges.

Inside Minneapolis and St. Paul, most jobs are scheduled within 3–5 days. Emergency-ish plumbing calls before noon are often same-day. Outer suburbs run 4–7 days. Specific dates and times are confirmed when you book.
